Birthday Party Invitations

In the last couple of weeks, I've had several people ask me if I make Birthday Party Invitations. I've done a few over the past year, and I just finished making invitations for a dear friend w/triplets. I had the MOST fun designing it! The invitations that I design for birthday parties are actually 4x6 photo cards, so the invitations themselves turn out as unique as the children for whom they were created. The invitation is created around the picture sent to me by the parents. Once I have the picture and a general idea about the party, I start drawing!
I've included the 3 invitations in this post. If you're interested in ordering invitations for your child(ren), just email me! Due to the time that it takes to create a unique design for the invitation, I would contact me 3-4 weeks before the birthday festivities! This will give me plenty of time to tackle the design, tweak it with you, have them printed, and ship them to your house! Rush service is available.

Free Fridays in March--WEEK ONE!!!
As promised, it's "Free Fridays in March" at Keep in Touch Stationery Co.! I have LOTS of new stationery products that I'm excited to introduce (and give away!!) this month!
The first new item is the Happy Birthday Enclosure Card. I've been making personalized enclosure cards from very early on, BUT sometimes, you just need something a little more "generic" (i.e. non-personalized) to have around the house. For example, I made CUTE enclosure cards for my family after our first son was born. (I mean...REALLY cute!) Our second son came along 2 years later, and his sweet name is NOT on the card. So, I have a drawer full of enclosure cards that I can't use. (Well, I'll admit it. I've used them...and just penned sweet baby boy #2's name on them. Hello, I AM Keep in Touch Stationery Co., why don't I just make more? Oh, great idea! I'll do that. Why have I not thought of that previously?? I digress...)
The beauty of these Happy Birthday Enclosure Cards is that they are "generic" and can be used by any of the kiddos in your home! Your child will LOVE these cards because he or she can write his or her name on the card! Can't you just hear it now, "I can do this ALL BY MYSELF." Mommy will LOVE these cards because there's no last minute Target run to buy a $3.99 birthday card! (Tip for moms--my mother-in-law leaves her enclosure cards in her car, so she has them readily available for "emergencies.")
So, "Happy Birthday Enclosure Cards" meet my wonderful customers. Wonderful customers, meet "Happy Birthday Enclosure Cards." These are available in sets of 10 cards. They are $8 without envelopes or $12 with envelopes. Also, there are 4 different designs to chose from as shown in the pictures above. (I LOVE my little worm. Can you tell I'm obsessed with it?!?!)
The Happy Birthday Enclosure Cards are the first "FREE FRIDAYS IN MARCH" item. Leave a comment below before 11:59 pm (CST) on Sunday, March 8, and I will pick one lucky customer to have a free set*! Check back on Monday to see the lucky winner! Also, when you come back on Monday, note the SURPRISE for those of you that didn't win. (Yes, I have something for everyone!!)
Have a great weekend! In the meantime, let's keep in touch!

Baby Shower Birthday Cards
Our friends, Jeff & Kelly, are seven weeks away from welcoming their daughter! (By the way, Kelly's due December 27, so that means Christmas is 7 weeks away. Are you kidding me?!?!?) We went to a shower for them last night, and boy were they "showered." They got some great things for their baby girl!
The shower hostesses asked me to design 18 different birthday cards for Jeff & Kelly's daughter. They wanted to have them at the shower in order for the guests to write fun messages, words of encouragement, and prayers for this sweet baby girl! On her birthday for the next 18 years of her life, Jeff and Kelly will give her that year's card. I had never heard of doing anything like this before at a baby shower. I confess, I was a little skeptical; I thought it sounded like a silly idea. However, I agreed to design the cards and had MUCH fun doing so!
So, last night at the shower, we presented the 18 cards to Jeff and Kelly and told them what the cards were for, and we, the guests, were instructed to write in each of the 18 cards. So, I, the rule-follower that I am, went into the dining room where the cards were spread out and started writing notes to baby girl. Before I sat down to write, I decided that I would just do a couple. However, after I sat down and wrote in the first card, I was SOLD on this being the GREATEST thing ever to do at a baby shower! It was fun to think through each birthday over the next 18 years of her life, what will be going on in her life that year, and prayers & hopes for her. I told her to ask her Mommy & Daddy for their favorite memories of turning 3 or 8 or 13. On her 10th birthday, I told her to ask her parents about the baby shower that we had for her that evening and to have them tell her about the specific prayers that everyone prayed for her that night. For her 16th birthday, I challenged her to read Proverbs 31 each week that year and pray that God would continue shaping her into a Godly woman. It was hard for me to hold back the tears! With each of the 18 cards, I thought about this sweet little life--only 7 weeks away from entering this world--but already being covered in prayer for these first 18 years of her life! and the powerful prayers that were already being prayed for her.
So, I'm convinced now. Any baby shower that I help with from now on, we're doing the 18 birthday cards! I'm SO convinced that I'm now selling these cards and making them available to you. There's a boy set and a girl set. The pictures below are of the girl set; these were the ones we used last night. If you're interested in ordering a set, just email me!
