June+July Blog Giveaway--Recipe Set

Sorry that I totally missed June with a blog giveaway.  Between selling our house and planting a church, these summer days have been busy!  I'll make it up to you this month by giving away this month's Blog Giveaway item to TWO WINNERS!

Can you tell by the picture above what I'm giving away?!?!?  A couple of years ago, I put together this set of recipes--aka The Mosleys' Top 60 Recipes--for a friend who was getting married.  It's now become a standard gift when I have friends preparing to say "I do."  These were recipes that I found and collected throughout our marriage; many of them I discovered during our first year as husband and wife.  When I got married, I would have LOVED having someone's favorite, tried-and-true recipes, so I thought my bride-to-be friends might enjoy them.  Over the years I've had people ask me if I sold them, and I've never known if I should sell these w/my other Keep in Touch Stationery Co. products.

Sooooooooooo, I'm giving away 2 sets of these and would love your help!  In order to enter to win one of the sets, in your comment below answer the following questions:
1) Should I sell these?  If yes, how much would you be willing to pay for the set?
2) Should I sell personalized recipe cards (obviously, BLANK in order for you to write down your own favorite recipes).  If so, how many cards should I include in a set and for what price?

"The Mosleys' Top 60 Recipes" features:
*Recipes FROM SCRATCH--I like to cook from scratch because it's economical, tasty, and healthy.
*A variety of recipes--entrees, sides, beverages, snacks, and desserts
*Freezer suggestions--different ways to prepare & freeze some of the recipes to help make your kitchen time more efficient.
*Meal suggestions--different combinations of the recipes in order to pull off a full meal as a means of hospitality, whether hosting in your own home or taking a meal to someone with a new baby or a death in the family.  There are also suggestions for different recipes that can be used if you're hosting a wedding or baby shower.

I had so much fun putting these together!  Many of these are heirloom recipes passed down from my grandmothers and mother to me.  I love having these, and I hope that you will too!

Are you ready to enter to win one of these 2 sets?!?!?  Here's how to enter to win:
There are FOUR ways to enter for FOUR separate entries in the giveaway.  Remember, leave a SEPARATE comment for each one of the entry options below.  If you do all 4 things, but only leave 1 comment indicating all four, you are actually only entering ONCE.  so, remember...SEPARATE comments for EACH entry option.

1) Leave a comment below. Just a reminder to answer the following questions in your comment:
       1) Should I sell these?  If yes, how much would you be willing to pay for the set?
      2) Should I sell personalized recipe cards (obviously, BLANK in order for you to write
down your own favorite recipes).  If so, how many cards should I include in a set and for
      what price?
If you post anonymously, just remember to include your name in the post so that I can list your name when I announce the winner! :)

2) Subscribe via email or RSS feed. You'll notice both of these options at the top right corner of my blog. You'll definitely want to do this so that you don't miss any of the 2010 Giveaways! After subscribing to either email or RSS, leave a SEPARATE comment indicating that you've done so.

3) Join my Facebook group. Click through this link and join the Keep in Touch Stationery Co. group on Facebook. After you do so, post a SEPARATE comment that you've done so. If you're already a member of the FB group, post a SEPARATE comment indicating that you're a member.

4) On your blog, Facebook page, or via Twitter write about and post a link about this Giveaway. Leave a SEPARATE comment indicating that you've done so. When you post your comment, include the link to your blog, Facebook page, or Tweet with the comment. If the link is not provided, that entry will be void.

That's FOUR separate ways to enter June+July's FREE Giveaway! You'll want to take advantage of that! Also, if you're interested in seeing one of my new catalogs, just let me know! I have a Stationery catalog, Bag Tag & Notepad catalog and Shower Invitations catalog that I'll be happy to email you!
This giveaway ends Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 8PM (Central Standard Time).  Open to US residents only.

Yes to the first question...not sure about the price...$15? I think they are a fun add on gift for someone...I would add a ring clip on the top corner :)

KT said...

No to the question about blank cards.
I don't want to say why here as not to "taint" other responses. However, I have a fun idea sorta like this that I can share with you sometime:)

I say you should sell them. I'd do it for $25 or $30. It's like buying a new recipe book and we'd pay that much for one, or more!

I think blank cards are a great idea. People are often looking for nice looking recipe cards. Maybe $10 or $15. I'm not sure what it cost you to print them.

I think you should sell the recipe set! I'd pay $15 or $20 for something like that.

I'm not sure I'd buy blank recipe cards, though.

Yes to the first question as well. Always looking for good recipes and would make a great gift. I would say $15-20 for the set.

Lindsey Grace said...

yes to both! i'd say $15-20 for your set- and i liked the idea about the ring clip- an easy way to keep them together. and for the blank ones i'd say $10-15- SUPER CUTE! =)

Erin said...

I say yes to both questions!!! I would sell the set for $20 and the blank recipe cards for $10. Such a cute idea! I love it!

Yes, you should sell them! I love getting new recipes! I think for a set of 60 you could easily sell them for $20 dollars. I think what makes them unique its on cards, which is the easiest for cooking the dishes than a book.

2) Should I sell personalized recipe cards (obviously, BLANK in order for you to write down your own favorite recipes). If so, how many cards should I include in a set and for
what price?

I actually think if the cards are personalized they probably should cost more since that takes a lot of effort to make them specialized. So I would say for a set of 60, I would charge $30 dollars.

I love the recipe cards and I would totally buy them for maybe $15. I would love blank ones too for a wedding gift or for a new mom to write down all her new yummy recipes that people bring to her for maybe $10. I LOVE new recipes and actually saw these cards of yours at Becca's house and wanted some for myself! -Krista

I'm going to be honest - I don't think I'd buy anything like that but that doesn't mean others won't. It might be cute to have recipes cards to write on to give to others. Like when I take a meal to a friend if I'd like to include the recipe, blank cards would be cute for that. I'd like them to say something like "with love from Lorie's kitchen." Maybe $10 for a set of 12.

1. Yes, please sell this recipe book! I have been married for 6 years, but I could still use some help around the kitchen with new recipes...this just sounds so fun! Maybe $20...is that too low? I don't know, we are poor so I guess I was thinking my budget ;)

2. YES YES YES!! I want some blank personalized recipe cards...I love recipe cards and sharing recipes...these would be a fun premise to a recipe party! $10-$15 for the cards.

1. I can always use help with recipes, so sure! Sell some!
2. Recipe cards are a great idea. But I'll be honest, I will not take the time to write stuff down on them. I've started typing and printing up stuff to keep in a notebook instead.

Yes, you should sell them! I think you could charge maybe $15 or so. I think blank cards make great wedding gifts. Someone gave me a nice wooden recipe box filled with recipes from their kitchen and cards for me to add my own. I love it! I think maybe 20-25 in a set. Not sure on price...

Okay, here are my honest answers :)

1) I think that it is a really cool gift, but it wouldn't be as meaningful to people who don't know you personally (and how awesome you are). Then again, I haven't seen your recipes or your freezing/prep tips, so maybe that's not true :) Maybe $15? Not sure about price.

HOWEVER, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win a set, because I DO know you and how incredibly awesome you are :)

2) I'm sure that any recipe cards you made would be super cute, so I think people would buy them. I prefer whole pages for my recipes, but that's just a personal preference. I think maybe $10 for a set of 12 is a fair price? Not sure.
